ABOUT THIS COMPANION

A little space
beside the story.

An official, publisher-approved companion to A Promise Kept. Made for a small conversation, an optional activity, or nothing more than finding the way to listen.

An audio story companion.

A Promise Kept is an audio story from Sloan’s Bedtime Lights. Sloan’s Bedtime remains its publisher and the home of the full listener and product platform. This site is a supporting frontend experience, not an audio player, store or account service.

The pages explore realistic commitments and honest repair: choose something manageable, name a next step, notice an obstacle, communicate, and decide whether to keep, revise or repair. Rest and safety remain available at every point.

No illustrated edition, physical book, ISBN or page sequence has been verified for this companion. We refer to precise narrative moments instead of physical page numbers.

Clear about what we know.

Our story details come from the publisher-supplied narration of A Promise Kept. That narration names the cowgirl Mary; it does not give her a surname. We use Mary and do not attach a historical identity, invented biography, author or publication date.

The muddy wagon and the grandmother’s birthday card are described as events in the publisher’s retelling. They are not presented as independently documented history. Dialogue belongs to the narration, not to a verified historical quotation.

The narration also uses an absolute claim of uninterrupted reliability. We do not repeat that as established biography or as a standard for a child. The companion’s advice makes explicit that a promise never outranks safety, boundaries, help or rest.

Suggested parent words and reflection prompts are original companion guidance. They are labeled separately from narration so a helpful extension is never mistaken for a source scene.

The image and the story are different.

The original publisher episode promotional illustration is displayed unchanged in the home page’s story context section. It shows a young figure handing a blue ribbon to a child. Neither person is identified here as Sloan, Mary or a historical figure.

The ribbon does not match the letters and muddy wagon described in the supplied narration. We make that mismatch visible beside the image. It is promotional illustration, not verified book art, a historical record or proof of an event in the episode.

The opening’s drawn envelope, rain-window and warm-light shapes are decorative interface motifs. They do not depict a claimed historical scene. No unverified wagon illustration has been substituted.

Return to listening.

The complete narration and audio stay on Sloan’s Bedtime. The publisher controls listening access and any products on its own site. Following the listening link leaves this companion; no access or purchase is promised here.
